Connect Install Limited is committed to maintaining high standards of corporate governance across all operational, financial, compliance, and sustainability activities. Strong governance is not a formality — it is fundamental to how we manage risk, meet our regulatory obligations, and maintain the trust of our clients, suppliers, employees, and stakeholders.
Our governance framework is built on the principles of accountability, transparency, integrity, risk management, and compliance with legal and regulatory obligations. These principles are applied proportionately to the size and nature of the business and are reviewed regularly to ensure they remain fit for purpose as the organisation grows.
Governance arrangements are documented in our internal policy framework, embedded in our standard operating procedures, and reinforced through management oversight, staff training, and periodic review. We align our governance approach with the principles of ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety).
Overall responsibility for corporate governance rests with senior management, who set strategic direction, approve policies, and oversee operational performance. Management ensures that governance responsibilities are clearly defined, communicated throughout the organisation, and acted upon at every level of the business.
Day-to-day governance responsibilities are distributed across functional leads — including HR, IT, finance, and operations — each of whom is accountable for compliance within their area. Governance matters are reviewed at management level on a regular basis, with escalation processes in place for significant issues or emerging risks.
Connect Install operates in compliance with all applicable Irish and EU legislation. This includes company law and employment legislation, health and safety legislation, data protection and GDPR requirements, and equality and accessibility legislation. Compliance obligations are monitored on an ongoing basis. Where gaps or changes are identified, corrective actions are implemented promptly and documented.
The company maintains documented policies and procedures covering all key governance areas, including health and safety, data protection and privacy, protected disclosures (whistleblowing), equality, accessibility and inclusion, ethical conduct, and professional standards. Internal controls are designed to safeguard company assets, ensure accurate record-keeping, and support sound decision-making. Policies are reviewed at least annually and updated to reflect changes in legislation, business operations, or identified risk.
Risks are identified, assessed, and managed through our operational and management processes. Key risk areas — including health and safety, regulatory compliance, data protection, financial management, and operational continuity — are reviewed on a regular basis. Mitigation measures are implemented where risks are identified, and the effectiveness of those measures is monitored over time. We aim to be proactive rather than reactive in our approach to risk.
All business activities are conducted with integrity, transparency, and ethical responsibility. This applies to how we engage with clients, how we manage our supply chain, and how we treat our employees and contractors. Our Ethics and Code of Practice sets out the standards expected across the business and is available as a downloadable document on this page.
Connect Install recognises the importance of engaging openly with the people and organisations we work with and work for. We actively encourage feedback from employees, clients, suppliers, and regulators, and use that feedback to support continuous improvement. We are committed to communicating clearly and honestly on matters that affect our stakeholders.
Our governance arrangements are reviewed periodically to ensure they remain appropriate, effective, and aligned with our business objectives, legal requirements, and recognised standards. Where improvements are identified — whether through internal review, external audit, or stakeholder feedback — they are acted upon and documented.
