Workplace Accessibility Inclusion

Workplace Accessibility & Inclusion Statement

Connect Install Limited is committed to ensuring accessibility, equality, and inclusion for all individuals — including employees, contractors, clients, and visitors with disabilities. We are committed to providing an environment in which everyone can participate fully, and to removing barriers that may prevent equal access to employment, services, or facilities.

Our Commitment

Connect Install treats accessibility and inclusion as operational responsibilities, not aspirational statements. We are committed to providing equal access to employment and services regardless of disability, making reasonable accommodations to meet individual needs, preventing discrimination or exclusion on the grounds of disability, and complying fully with applicable Irish and EU equality and accessibility legislation.

These commitments are embedded within our governance, HR, health and safety, and quality management frameworks. They apply across our offices, warehouses, project sites, and digital services.

Legal Framework

Our approach to accessibility and inclusion is grounded in the Employment Equality Acts 1998–2015, the Disability Act 2005, the Equal Status Acts 2000–2018, the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR, and applicable EU equality directives. We also align our quality and safety practices with the principles of ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.

Workplace and Physical Accessibility

We take reasonable steps to ensure that our offices, workplaces, and project sites are accessible and safe for everyone. Reasonable accommodations are assessed on a case-by-case basis and may include adjustments to workstations or equipment, flexible working arrangements, physical access measures such as ramps, signage, or handrails, and individual supports identified through risk assessment or consultation with the individual concerned.

All accommodation requests are handled confidentially and with respect. Where a specific need is identified, our HR team works with the individual to find a practical and appropriate solution. We do not require individuals to justify or prove their needs beyond what is reasonably necessary.

Recruitment and Employment

Connect Install's recruitment processes are designed to be fair and accessible. We encourage applications from candidates with disabilities and provide reasonable accommodations throughout the recruitment process where requested. Disability is not a barrier to employment at Connect Install where an individual is otherwise qualified and able to perform the essential functions of a role, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Employees who develop a disability or health condition during their employment are supported through a proactive and confidential process. This may involve occupational health assessment, workplace adjustments, phased return-to-work planning, or referral to the Employee Assistance Programme.

Digital Accessibility

Connect Install is committed to making its website and digital communications accessible to all users. We aim to align our digital content with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, ensuring compatibility with assistive technologies where reasonably practicable. Our full Website Accessibility Statement is published separately at connectinstall.ie/accessibility.

Confidentiality and Data Protection

Any disability-related or health-related information shared with Connect Install is treated as sensitive personal data under GDPR. It is processed only for the purpose for which it was provided, stored securely, and accessible only to authorised personnel directly involved in the accommodation or support process. Individuals retain full rights over their personal data at all times.

Feedback and Continuous Improvement

We welcome feedback on accessibility and inclusion across all aspects of our business. Any concerns raised will be reviewed promptly, and reasonable steps will be taken to address identified barriers. Accessibility performance is monitored as part of our annual compliance review process, and we are committed to continuous improvement in this area.
